Frederick D. Murphy, a filmmaker and activist endorsed our Monument Initiative as it carrys on in the process of coming to fruition!
In the last two weeks of our Sterling Summer Program, we released music, and put on our student-written and directed musical in our final showcase! We raised funds for our Monument Initiative, and gained support from our community for the cause. Many new student artists were featured on our Bandcamp after weeks of collaboration!

In the first two weeks of our Berryville Summer Program, we wrote, recorded music, and put on our student-written and directed musical! We had visitor musicians and instructors, and we spontaneously began our Monument Initiative!

Throughout the week, we took trips around Berryville, meeting with guest instructors and speakers, spending time in nature, and getting to record demos in various spaces in preperation for Bandcamp releases.
Our Goldberg School of Music instructors and Green Sloth Records student instructors taught music lessons on a wide range of instruments to our campers, allowing them to explore new instruments and strengthen their skills on those they already knew.
Through the proceeds from our Bandcamp music releases, we purchased Spring-themed toys and donated them to the Winchester Community Mental Health Center families in need!
We hosted an Open House with the Goldberg School of Music sharing what our nonprofit does along with the music school run by our CEO, Helena Goldberg in Berryville, VA.
Partnered with YSO, a STEM, student-run nonprofit based in Northern Virginia, we put on a free event for families allowing kids to experiment with music and science through hands-on experiments.
Partnered with National Geographic, we premiered the documentary, "Fire of Love" at our event!
Through our recording sessions with student artists and producers, we tirelessly worked to get our recordings release-ready, then on February 3rd we released tracks from 4 of our recording artists. All Bandcamp profits go towards our future endeavors, and we urge you to check our music and art out!

We also discussed our 2023 plans, planning our summer camp, upcoming musicals, and big plans to give back to the community.
We performed our student-written sequel musical to our 2022 summer musical at the Goldberg School of Music Holiday Recital.
Our Green Sloth President Maya, Volunteer Becca, and CEO Helena were honored to perform with the esteemed Main Street Chamber Orchestra.
At our December benefit concert, we collected toy donations which were donated to families in need at Winchester Community Mental Health Center!
Through our supporters' generous toy donations, families at Winchester Mental Health Center were able to provide their families with educational and fun toys!
We spread some holiday cheer in Berryville through an outdoors sing-along caroling performance!
We dressed up in festive holiday cheer and sang classic songs of the season!
Green Sloth Records donated $600 dollars in recorders to Forest Grove Elementary School in Sterling, VA, to support their music program!
Our volunteers ran a table at Forest Grove Elementary School's Trunk or Treat event, providing games, snacks, music, and fun!
We held a benefit concert in debut of our musicals and solo artists signed on the label, raising money for our free lesson program and future concerts.
Our student artists/volunteers worked together to write, produce, direct, and act in our amazing original debut musicals, Greyba the Green Sloth and 3 Souls!
We held a summer program writing and recording music and musicals as well as a mentorship/counselor in training program where older students got one-on-one time with younger students teaching and guiding.
Our student artists recorded all of the music they had been working on throughout the summer to release it under Green Sloth Records, benefiting those in need.
